East-West Alley, a Mix of Culture, History and Modern Life

Located at the cross point of zhenyang Road and Jiefang East Road in downtown Guilin, East West Alley is made up of 3 streets - Zhengyang East Alley, Jiangnan Alley and Lanjing Alley. It’s a mix of history, culture and modern life.

By restoring the old architectures of Ming (1368-1644 A.D.) and Qing (1644-1911 A.D.) styles, this place has turned to be a replica of old Guilin that gives insight into the city’s history.

While the pedestrian street of East-West Alley has become one of the best places to shop in Guilin. From boutiques, fashion shops, galleries, traditional teahouses, bars and cafes in folk styles to various restaurants serving unique local snacks and Western foods, it provides visitors an opportunity to experience the leisurely life of Guilin.
